Law Day at the mall will be on May 1st this year.  There will be attorneys and information on legal agencies in Bakersfield.  This year it will be extended to include a free video one night as well as a lecture.  More information coming soon...

This FREE WORKSHOP will be held at 601 California Avenue, Bakersfield, Ca 93304 at 1:30pm-3:30pm on the second Tuesday of the month.  

The attorney will address questions such as:

-My house is "upside down" Should I try to save it or walk away?

-Should I consider bankruptcy?

-Will a loan modification work for me?

-I think I was lied to when they refinanced my house, is there anything I can do about it?

-What is a notice of default and what should I do?

-What about a deed in lieu of foreclosure?

-What is a short sale and tax implications?

The Law Library offers a variety of resources for those who cannot afford legal representation.  Between the weekly workshops, the quarterly workshops, and the everyday assistance of the librarian and the library clerks, there is soemone to help answer most any legal question.
